MSI Cubi NUC AI+ Brings Copilot+ to Desktops

MSI has jumped into the AI desktop race with its Cubi NUC AI+, a mini-PC designed specifically for Microsoft’s Copilot+ ecosystem. Packed with Intel’s new Lunar Lake Core Ultra processors, the Cubi NUC AI+ delivers up to 48 TOPS of on-device NPU performance for AI workloads. The tiny box comes with Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and dual 2.5G Ethernet ports, making it surprisingly powerful for such a compact form factor. MSI added a fingerprint reader for secure Windows Hello login, catering to both enterprise and consumer use. A unique addition is a physical Copilot+ button on the chassis, allowing users to launch Microsoft’s AI assistant instantly. The integrated Arc 140V GPU offers solid graphics performance for light gaming and creative tasks. Although RAM expansion is limited, storage options include high-speed NVMe SSDs. The Cubi NUC AI+ is clearly aimed at professionals and businesses that want compact hardware optimized for AI-driven workflows. Microsoft has certified the device for Copilot+ features like Recall, Studio Effects, and Paint Cocreator. This release signals a new wave of “AI-first” desktop hardware hitting the market.
