Acer Shows First Intel “Panther Lake” Laptop at IFA 2025

At IFA 2025, Acer made headlines by unveiling the Swift 16 AI, the very first laptop powered by Intel’s next-generation Panther Lake processors. The device features a gorgeous 3K OLED display, delivering rich colors and smooth visuals perfect for content creators and gamers alike. Intel’s updated Cougar Cove performance cores and Darkmont efficiency cores push both power and battery optimization to new levels. With a massive jump to 180 AI TOPS, the integrated NPU promises fast local inference for on-device AI tasks, making cloud dependence less necessary. Acer also introduced the world’s largest haptic touchpad, which doubles as a stylus input surface for creative professionals. The machine comes with Wi-Fi 7 support, Thunderbolt 4, and high-speed storage options. Memory configurations reach up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, offering future-proof performance. Acer stressed that the laptop will become widely available in 2026, after initial developer and enterprise testing phases.
