NVIDIA Blackwell Dominates 2025 High-End GPU Shipments

NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture has taken over the AI hardware market in 2025, with TrendForce estimating that it now commands more than 80% of the high-end GPU sector. The GB200 series accelerators, especially the massive NVL72 rack-scale systems, are being deployed across hyperscale datacenters worldwide. These GPUs are optimized for trillion-parameter AI models, making them the gold standard for training and inference. Demand has been so high that many OEMs are securing multi-year supply contracts just to ensure steady access. The shift to liquid cooling has become common, given the extreme power requirements of Blackwell systems. Enterprise adoption is being fueled by the promise of faster AI model training and reduced total cost of ownership. Even national labs and research institutions are standardizing on Blackwell for their HPC needs. Competition from AMD’s MI350 series is heating up, but NVIDIA still enjoys a massive first-mover advantage. Analysts expect successor architectures to appear by 2026, with even more radical performance gains. For now, Blackwell has cemented NVIDIA’s dominance as the backbone of global AI infrastructure.
