OpenAI Introduces GPT-5 and Open-Weight Models

In August 2025, OpenAI announced the long-awaited GPT-5, calling it its most advanced model yet. GPT-5 introduces a “dual-mode reasoning” system that combines fast, lightweight responses with deeper analytical thinking when needed.
